Inquiry-based teaching at IPS delivers subjects which allow students to go on a journey of exploration rather than be restricted to the content of a text book. As a teacher, I find it more interesting to teach as I too am often on the same journey of research and learning with the students.

By nature, I am a creative person, and I like to encourage the students to be creative too. If you don’t understand a concept can you draw or make it to help you understand? Helping students to do the very best they can is one of the most important roles I believe that I have, to encourage them to persevere rather than give up. I suppose that this is ingrain in me and stems from working for demanding employers where this is a given and not an option.
