This year I will join IPS as I enter my seventh year working as a full-time educator. After completing my training in the U.K. I went on to teach for several years in schools in England. Following on from this, I spent four years teaching in the Seychelles and completed a further year leading the development of a new British International school in Mallorca, Spain.
Although I specialise in Key Stage 2 teaching and learning, I have experience across the primary phase and in lower secondary. My previous roles have allowed me to lead in primary curriculum development and I have become particularly passionate about inquiry-based learning which nurtures creative and critical thinking.
I am a firm believer that all children should be treated as unique individuals and that, as inspirational teachers, we take great pleasure in ‘unlocking’ and celebrating a child’s strengths, passions and achievements. I share the IPS view that teaching and learning should empower children and nurture the skills and confidence necessary to thrive in our ever-changing world.
I am delighted to be joining IPS at an exciting stage of its development and I look forward to being part of a community which promotes a spirit of internationalism, strong communication and academic excellence.
